The Designer Events staff wants to make sure that each bride has a solid foundation to start planning her dream day. Where do I get my wedding license, and what are the regulations in Texas?

If Previously Married: No divorce decree or death certificate required. Cannot obtain license before 30 days have passed since divorce or death.
What is the largest event that Messina Hof has handled in the past?
Messina Hof has planned events for the Cattle Barron's Ball for up to 1,800 guests. This event included dinner, dancing and casino games around the property.
What is the smallest event that Messina Hof has handled?
The winery has hosted several intimate wedding ceremonies for as small as three guests, the bride, the groom and the officiate.
What is required as the deposit to reserve my date?
There is a 33% deposit due at the time of the contract signing that is an estimate of the final total, tax and gratuity included.
How many weddings are held at Messina Hof at one time?
Messina Hof holds only one wedding at a time. We feel that every bride deserves 100% of our attention on her wedding day.
When do we have to have our final guest count complete?
The final guest count and final payment are due 10 days before the event occurs.
Is there a dressing room for the bride and bridal party?
Most brides reserve a room at the Villa where they change and relax.
Do we have to rent tables and chairs, or does Messina Hof provide them?
No, tables, chairs and white linens are included with the rental.
Can we do a menu tasting before we decide on our menu?
Menu tasting can be set up through your coordinator, with the Chef to decide on your menu. You can choose a set amount of our offerings, or we can work with you to customize the menu to fit your tastebuds.
What is the recommended wine amount for an event of our size?
We generally recommend a case of wine per 50 people, but usually estimate a little more for wedding receptions.
