What is an Ambassador?

Our Ambassadors are an integral part of the Messina Hof Team! They serve as our official representatives at in-store tastings and wine/food events and festivals. If you enjoy meeting new people and teaching them about wine, this is the perfect opportunity for you to have fun and represent Messina Hof.

How Can You Become An Ambassador?

Anyone can be a Messina Hof ambassador and may represent Messina Hof at events. However, in order to pour wine on behalf of Messina Hof Winery at events, or on our retailers' premises, you must hold a current Seller/Server certificate issued by the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission (TABC). This certificate is good for two years and is not renewable.

You must attend a class for recertification (or take the online course). The course cost is $25, and in most cases, should be tax deductible as a job training expense. You can find a complete list of approved classes on the TABC website.

What Do Ambassadors Receive?

To say "Thank You" to our Ambassadors, they accumulate reward credits for each event. For five (5) events in a calendar year, you will receive a $50 gift certificate to our Estate Restaurant, The Vintage House.

Ten (10) or more events in the calendar year, you will receive a gift certificate for a one-night stay in the most romantic bed and breakfast in the USA, The Villa. In addition, all of our Ambassasdors are invited to a free wine and food pairing celebration during Wine Premiere in November.
