The 2009 Texas Bowl is just around the corner, and tickets are going fast! Messina Hof, the official sponsor of the Bowl event, has announced a 2009 Texas Bowl Ticket Giveaway to gear up for the game. One lucky winner will receive two tickets to the 2009 Texas Bowl, a face-off between University of Missouri and the United States Naval Academy. The game will take place on December 31, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. in Reliant Stadium, and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. The tickets are valued at $80.

In line with this theory, the couple has themed its December Wine Appreciation Class “Wines for New Year’s.” The class, held on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m., has been designed to help attendees choose the best wines for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day celebrations and will provide guidelines for pairing wines with appropriate foods. After tasting varieties of Messina Hof wines, students will have the first-hand knowledge necessary to make educated decisions when selecting wines for New Year’s.

Messina Hof, recently announced its winning wines for the seventh consecutive year in the 2010 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) Wine Competition. The seventh annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo International Wine Competition was held November 14-15, 2009 at Reliant Center. Wine entries included 1,761 wines from 583 wineries in Texas, across the United States and around the world.
