With Wine and Roses and Spring Release, the restaurant was filled with old friends, and an exciting number of new faces. It’s always a treat to introduce Messina Hof to new friends, and this year’s Wine and Roses festival was no different. With our Wine and Roses Festival, Spring Release Dinner, and Easter Sunday, the restaurant was filled to bursting with a variety of old friends and new faces.

Our spectacular Easter menu went over extremely well, with Chef Dwight’s Crawfish and Lobster Bisque with Chardonnay featuring prominently in the praise. And let’s hope everyone caught Chef Dwight’s demonstration at the Wine and Roses Festival – have you had a chance to replicate his sumptuous Pasta Carbonara?

Just in time for your Memorial Day celebrations, Thursday May 12th Chef Dwight has prepared an excellent Cooking Party with the Vintage House Chef, featuring a Classic Boiled Seafood Bash. Chef Dwight will be personally preparing such boiled delicacies as Boiled Louisiana Crawfish, Creole Boiled Shrimp, Creole Boiled Corn Cob, Potatoes, Garlic and Smoked Sausage. Paired with our 2008 Gewurztraminer, our light and fruity Beau, and our 2006 Private Reserve Shiraz, these recipes will give you all you need to throw the best Seafood Bash possible this Memorial Day Weekend.
