Back to the Basics: How to Open a Bottle of Wine

We are going back to the basics of wine this week with a step-by-step guide to opening your favorite bottle of Messina Hof wine. Gather your favorite bottle and a double hinged corkscrew, it’s time to begin!

Insert the corkscrew into the center of the bottle’s cork and twist until only one curl remains.

Adjust the lever arm so the first set of ridges is on the lip of the bottle. Pull up on the lever.

Place the lever so the second set of ridges is on the lip of the bottle and pull up to remove the cork.

Now you’re ready to pour yourself a glass and relax!
