This wine is named for its angelic sweetness and in honor of the angels that are carved in stone on the front of Messina Hof Estate Winery.

Messina Hof’s Rieslings have won over 200 awards since 1986 with Angel winning more than any of our other Rieslings.

One of the earliest wines crafted by Messina Hof founders Paul Vincent and Merrill Bonarrigo, the first vintage was released in 1984.

In 1990, Angel became the first Texas wine to score a 90 in the Wine Spectator.

The grapes for Angel are harvested from the last pick of Riesling when the grapes are like raisins, capturing flavors of apple, pear and honey.
