Do you like pyrotechnics on wheels? The Vintage House at Messina Hof has long been known for our attention-getting flambé desserts like bananas Foster and cherries jubilee. The gueridon (cart), stocked with bottles of banana liquor, orange liquor and either Messina Hof’s Angel or our Papa Paulo Port, is rolled out to the diner’s table for the show. Our professional wait-staff prepares the desserts right before the guest’s eyes and crescendos with a brilliant flame! Every eye in the room is on the flame.

Each course on the Vintage House menu now includes at least one tableside dish.  If you attended the Winemaker’s Birthday Bash brunch, you enjoyed tableside omelets and crepes.

Tableside pasta with your choice of sauces, the legendary Paulo salad, and Chateau Briand are all tableside dishes that make for a personal and spectacular dining experience. To see what one of our servers writes about the new menu, click here.

Wednesday night is a great time to come out to the winery. It is a fun time to taste the chef’s latest chocolate food and wine pairing at the Wine Bar and then have dinner at the Vintage House to enjoy a tableside dish. Hope to see you there!

On a personal note, as we traveled to Fredericksburg this last weekend we stopped at Taste Buds in Wimberley, Texas. We met owner Maggie Nylund.

They have one of the best selections of Texas wines from across the state we have seen.

Cheers,  Merrill
