It’s Time for the 46th Harvest Festival!

Our 46th Harvest Festival is here! Time to roll up your sleeves, bring out the sunglasses and get to harvesting. On Friday, August 4, join our family as we kick off the harvest season with our first Moonlit Harvest. Pick and stomp the grapes that go into our award-winning Port. Wine, dine, and socialize over our vineyard.

We invite locals and visitors alike to experience an inside look at the wine-making culture that has been a tradition at Messina Hof for over 40 years. From Moonlit and Daytime Harvests to Murder Mystery Dinners to an Outdoor BBQ Luau and more, make long-lasting memories at this once-a-year unique wine event. Read below what to expect this weekend!

Weekend 1 Events:

Kickoff Moonlit – Friday, Aug. 4, 7:30–10 PM

Experience an exclusive Blessing of the Vines then pick, taste, and stomp our Lenoir grapes under a beautiful moonlit sky. After stomping, sign your souvenir “Harvest Crew” t-shirt with your very own purple footprints! End the night with our delicious Vineyard Cuisine buffet paired with select wine from our Wine Bar.

Daytime Harvest – Saturday, Aug. 5, 9-11:30 AM

Bring your friends and family to our Estate vineyard for a fun-filled day of picking and stomping. Delight in tours and tastings across our location, stomp and sign your souvenir “Harvest Crew” t-shirt, experience our build-your-own-brunch-boxes at our brunch buffet and mimosa bar, and so much more!

Cellar Tour & Dinner – Saturday, Aug. 5, 7:30-10 PM

Sip on sparkling as you get a tour from the winemaker himself, Paul M Bonarrigo. Learn about the process of winemaking, such as fermenting, barrel-aging, and blending. Taste wine directly from the barrels, then dine on gourmet appetizers and a 3-course meal paired with award-winning Messina Hof wine in our candlelit Cellar Room.

Papa Paulo Port Party – Sunday, Aug. 6, 1-3 PM

It’s a cocktail party at Messina Hof! Come and taste our 2020 Papa Paulo Port made from the grapes harvested during our 2020 Harvest Festival. Enjoy port cocktails, light bites, 2020 & 2021 port tastings, and special access to purchase library wines.

Harvest Pass – $40.00 + $3.29 Fee

Harvest Plus Pass – $60.00 + 20% Gratuity + $4.04 Fee

Includes access to brunch buffet and mimosa bar

Children’s Pass – $12.00 + $2.24 Fee

For children 10 years old and under

Children’s Plus Pass – $22.00 + 15% Gratuity + $2.62 Fee

For children 10 years old and under. Includes access to the brunch buffet
