Messina Hof Harvest Update!

Messina Hof’s Harvest officially kicked off this week… with the picking and crushing (the winemaking process that introduces the pulp of the berry to the skins) of Blanc du Bois grapes! Although the majority of Messina Hof’s Estate Vineyard is populated by Lenoir grapes, a small portion is dedicated to Blanc du Bois and Sagrantino. 

Blanc du Bois is an early ripening variety and is always the first grape to be harvested at Messina Hof. Not only did we pick Blanc du Bois from the Estate Vineyard in Bryan, Texas, we also received approximately 10 tons of Blanc du Bois from Richards, Texas.
