Messina Hof Winery Acquires New Broker; Partners with Multicarte to Increase Texas Winery’s Distribution Throughout US
Retailers, restaurants and consumers across the country will have greater access to Messina Hof’s award-winning portfolio, beginning this month
January 2018 (Bryan, Texas) – On the heels the most fruitful harvest to date and an exceptional award season including a Gold Medal at AWC Vienna and more than 46 awards in international wine competitions so far in 2018, Messina Hof is excited to announce a new national wine partnership. The winery, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2017, is teaming up with Texas-based Multicarte, Inc. as its new national and Texas wine broker. The brokerage will help the legacy winery to increase volume, and open avenues of distribution in Texas and key states outside of Texas.
Finding common ground in their longstanding Texas roots, Multicarte has worked with family owned, terroir driven wineries for close to 30 years. Partnering with its first Texas winery, the initial focus will be on Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, with additional representation in New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Arkansas, Florida, Colorado and Missouri.

Known as the “First Family of Texas Wine” the Bonarrigo family has built a vast portfolio of over 90 Texas wines ranging from traditional single vineyard varietals, ports, and up-and-coming wines such as its internationally renowned Sagrantino. Messina Hof’s vast portfolio is available at the Messina Hof’s Estate Vineyard and Winery in Bryan, Texas, as well as at Messina Hof Hill Country Winery in Fredericksburg and Messina Hof Grapevine Winery, as well as select retailers. Wines are also available for shipment through wine club memberships and a la carte on Messina Hof’s website to nearly 30 states nationwide.
