Messina Hof Winery Stuns at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

BRYAN, TEXAS – January 2017 – Messina Hof Winery is pleased to announce recent recognition by the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition earning awards for all 11 wines entered into the competition. Among the 11 awards, includes a Best of Class honor for Private Reserve Merlot 2015, clinching its spot as the top Merlot in the competition.

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is the largest competition of American wines in the world. This year the competition received 7,000 entries from 28 states across the country. Texas received a total of 7 Best of Class awards, more than any other state besides California. This wins serve as a well-deserved victory for both Messina Hof Winery and the Texas wine industry as a whole.
