More Grapes Arrive at Messina Hof Estate Winery

It’s been a busy Harvest week at Messina Hof with the processing of 112 tons of grapes! We received 12 different varietals from 6 different vineyards located in the state of Texas. The varietals include:
- Chenin Blanc
- Dolcetto
- Gewurztraminer
- Muscat Canelli
- Orange Muscat
- Pinot Blanc
- Primitivo
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Semilloon
- Shiraz
- Viognier
- Riesling
Of the grapes received, Gewurztraminer was the largest amount with a total of 40 tons followed by 24 tons of Muscat Canelli.
Along with the arrival of these grapes, Messina Hof also held their annual “Family Pick Day” where employees come together to bond over their love wine.
During this event, staff picked a total of 4.6 tons of Lenoir grapes that will be made into our delicious port!
