Mulled Wine Recipe


Mulled Wine is a traditional Christmas drink with recipes dating as far back as the 1500s. “Mulled” means heated or spiced and typically features ingredients like cinnamon, cloves and honey. The perfect drink to serve at holiday parties or a feast with the family, the spices will make your home smell like Christmas! And really, does it get much better than that?
  • 1 bottle of Messina Hof Beau
  • 1 1/2 cups water or brewed green tea
  • 1/2 cup raw brown sugar
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • Pinch of allspice

Directions: Place all ingredients in a saucepan; warm over low heat (do not boil). Steep for 30 minutes. Strain and discard cloves and cinnamon; serve in mugs. Serves 2-3.
