River City Grille Features Messina Hof Wines

Messina Hof has a new and valuable partner in the Marble Falls/Hill Country. Paul Brady, owner, along with wife, Connie, of River City Grille in Marble Falls, invited Messina Hof to be the featured wine at his 1st Hill Country Wine and Supper Club. The Hill Country Wine and Supper Club will be held on the first Thursday evening of every month with limited seating to maximize everyone’s dining experience.

The premiere was attended by 24 patrons; a number limited by Paul, but provided a cozy, comfortable setting in the private dining room with a breath-taking view overlooking Lake Marble Falls. Chef Joe Frenegal prepared a wonderful three course meal. The first course was cold asparagus salad with chipotle vinaigrette which paired very well with Merrill’s Vineyard Riesling. The second course was tortilla crusted farm-raised catfish with green chili queso and fresh pico de gallo which was paired nicely with Sophia Marie Rose’. The dessert course was sopapilla bread pudding with caramel glaze which proved delightful with Tawny Port.

All attendees expressed that they had had a wonderful evening and would be return visitors to future Supper Club dinners, as well as future patrons of Messina Hof Hill Country. This was the first of thirteen scheduled Thursday Supper Clubs, and Paul stated Messina Hof will be first and foremost in his future events.
