What wine is best served with spicy food?
Spicy foods usually indicate heat and pungent flavors. I recommend bold white wines with some sweetness and low alcohol like Muscat Canelli or Gewurztraminer. Reds such as Gamay Beaujolais, Zinfandel and Shiraz can work but think of spicy heat as a fire and alcohol as the fuel. High alcohol wines will make the fire hotter.
