Fresh vegetables are my favorite foods. I could eat them all day long. Spring is my favorite gardening time because fresh vegetables are so abundant.
This year is particularly great. Our team is planting peppers, tomatoes, Swiss chard, onions now. Romaine,broccoli, arugula, fennel, and spinach are still being harvested. You can see the Vintage House vegetable garden as you enter the restaurant. Sometimes you can see a member of our culinary team actually harvesting the Veggie du Jour.

She stayed with us for the weekend while Paul M. and Karen were in Houston doing Messina Hof tastings and celebrating their 6th anniversary. She and ” Baba” planted a garden and named it Sophia’s garden.
